Job Description/Responsibilities
This position is for a tenure track assistant professor in an applied professional graduate degree program in public administration (MPA) with a specialization in Health Care Policy and/or Health Care Administration preferred; additional areas of interest include Public Safety and Security and Leadership. The ideal candidate will contribute to the College of Arts and Sciences’ Department of Public Administration and Policy Analysis, which may include teaching graduate level traditional and online courses, undergraduate interdisciplinary courses, and other courses as assigned. Quality teaching, traditional and applied scholarship and internal and external service in the department, college, university, and community is expected. Prior applied experience is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. or DPA in Public Administration or a related field is preferred. Ph.D. or DPA is required at the time of employment, beginning August 2016. Persons who have not completed all degree requirements by the beginning of the contract period may be considered for a one-year term interim appointment at the rank of instructor. The successful applicant will possess a firm understanding of the context of public administration in the United States.
